Data provider: Statistics Canada Product group: Census, 2016 - Data tables Description: This table was received from the Canadian Urban Sustainability Practitioners (CUSP) network as part of a collaboration with the Community Data Program Analytics team. CUSP supports Energy Poverty Reduction Through Clean Energy Transformation by means of Local Energy Access Programs (LEAPs). LEAPs will help municipalities achieve their energy and emissions goals and targets, bring established and new technologies to help transition to clean energy, bolster the capacity of local organizations to develop and deliver energy access programs, and ensure that low and moderate income households benefit from decreased instances of energy poverty. Working within this project framework of LEAP, the Community Data Program Community Analytics Team has built a data access tool to monitor and report on indicators of urban sustainability, including first-of-its-kind nationwide community energy poverty measurements More information on this project will be provided here as it becomes available. The selected household demographic characteristics in this table includes: Households where no person aged 18+ has full-time/full-year employment (this could include persons less than 18 years of age) Notes: Note on data quality and disclosure control: For information on data quality, as well as random rounding, data suppression, and other methods of disclosure control, please consult the Guide to the Census of Population, 2016, Catalogue no. 98-304-X, and the reference guides for the individual topics.
